Thanks for the answer Brenda. I'm familiar with For Sale By Owner because many people use them around where I live in the United States. I always wondered if they were in Canada too. I've used forclosure.com in the past. It is best used mainly as a timesaving device. The info found on that paid site can be found on other sites like Zillow, Trulia and your local county property tax website for free. more

Hi Graciela I have been using both RealtyTrac and Realtor.com recently to find a home in Memphis, TN. The biggest difference between the two is that RealtyTrac offers foreclosures, bank owned, and auction properties and Realtor.com does not disclose whether a home is a shortsale or foreclosure. On their website, foreclosure.com says that they review, scrub and update listings twice a day.  It is kind of hard to check the accuracy of this statement without checking each listing individually, but you can take their word for it or not.  Here is what they have to say on their website.
